NYSFDA Leadership Academy prepares funeral service leaders

ALBANY, NY (August 2014) - The New York State Funeral Directors Association, Inc. (NYSFDA) has graduated the inaugural class for their 11-month Leadership Academy.

The education program was designed to identify NYS licensed funeral directors of excellence who have the potential to become leaders in local, state and national funeral director associations.

The Academy addresses pressing issues facing funeral directors and business professionals alike. The funeral professionals completed leadership development workshops in Albany, NY; participated in monthly web-based training programs; completed a group capstone project; and presented their research findings to their peers at the NYSFDA Annual Convention held August 10th - 13th in Verona, NY.
