On January 1, 2018, New York State’s Paid Family Leave Law (PFL) takes effect and funeral homes will be required to comply with the new PFL law. Employers will also need to be even more aware of ensuring individuals are properly categorized as either employees or independent contractors. In this presentation, participants will learn how this groundbreaking new law will impact their workplace and review how to determine employment status for those working for you.
