Funeral Service Professionals to Appear at Jefferson
County Senior Fair
Watertown, NY -- September 04 -- Area residents
will be able to get answers to their questions about end-of-life
issues from leading funeral professionals at the Jefferson County
2003 Senior Fair to be held on Tuesday, September 16th at the Watertown
Municipal Arena.
Francee Calarco from the Calarco Funeral Home in Watertown, Pam
Kellogg from the Piddock Funeral Home in Adams and Patricia Knight
Scholl, president of the New York State Funeral Directors Association
( NYSFDA ) will be on hand from 10 AM to 3 PM to explain new consumer
protections for those who choose to prefund their funerals, the
many choices now available in funeral service, and other aspects
of end-of-life family planning. Booklets from the Funeral Consumers
Information Series (Transitions: A Consumer Guide; When a Death
Occurs; Personal and Financial Affairs Checklist for End-of-Life
Planning and Preplanning; Prefunding a Funeral) will be available
free of charge.
The Fair is sponsored by Senator James Wright (R-Watertown) and
the Jefferson County Office for the Aging.
Francee Calarco thanked these Fair sponsors by saying: "We at NYSFDA
salute these sponsors for making this event a reality and are pleased
to be taking part. The Senior Fair will serve as a "one stop shop"
for Jefferson County area seniors and their families who are looking
to get practical and useful information on a variety of important
issues, including funeral prearranging."

Crystal Restaurant in Watertown .
